It takes some time to appreciate new changes but I like the new Gmail

Gmail in New Look Again

Gmail rolls out the new look and as always with every change, a bit confusion, a bit more expectation, and an effort to comfort oneself with the change is usual. I encountered the notification immediately after logged on into my inbox and felt another round to familiarize with the new features and settings.

Gmail in New LookThe change however, is more welcomed and it presented the improvements without confusing much. Gmail has always been superb with its simplicity and I always wish it remain with same ease. It won’t take you more than couple of minutes to get familiar with these changes.

This is why your blog is not on the first page of google?

This is why your blog is not on the first page of Google

Is The First Page of Google Really Essential?

The first page of Google, and more than that, the first entry on the first page of Google SERP is the target of everybody. This is not just to win a race and reserve the first position, but rather the traffic it drives is incomparable.

A study done in Cornell University by Laura A. Granka, Thorsten Joachims and Geri Cay revealed that more than 56% of the total traffic on any search is driven by the first result of the first page of Google. Is it not amazing? More than half of the whole traffic goes to the first result. And 88% of the traffic goes to the first 5 results. This proves how important is it to rank your post on the first page of Google. You’ll hardly get any traffic if your post is listed on other than first page.

Why Your Blog Is Not on The First Page of Google?

Well, there might be many reasons – each one more prominent than the other. But whatever, it is certain that your SEO efforts are not in the right direction. You are missing something  that prevents you to rank on the first page of Google!

SEO is really vast topic. The term itself is sufficiently capable to confuse any new blogger. On top of that, the multitude of SEO myths and hypes exists to thrash you down to ground. This is why some SEO companies are prospering. It has become a promising career indeed.

The result of its complication made some bloggers to completely ignore SEO and put all of their efforts to community and networking. This must be the reason why some great bloggers made study to run blog without depending on Google. James Pruitt teaches How To Ignore Google And Still Get Higher Search Rankings. Ileane opines bloggers don’t need SEO, Even Mat Cutt Says You Don’t Need SEO to Blog.

They are not wrong in any respect. If you can harness the social network and build your powerful empire out of community, you’ll hardly need to crave to crawl up to the first result in search page. Saying that, can you just ignore the hoard of free traffic from search engines (we call them organic traffic)? That’s great and that’s all free!

You know it very well that computers have speakers and can produce sound. You might have played songs and music, but all those were recorded sounds, but have you ever heard the voice of your computer? Can you know whether your computer is boy or girl if you hear its voice?

OK, let us make our computer speak and hear its voice to know if it is a male computer or female computer.

It is a matter of common observation that lifting heavy weights which maybe out of your stamina are strictly prohibited by the doctors during the 9 months of pregnancy. Once again, I bought a new WordPress plugin - WP Dollar for Amazon niche site. It is always good to automate the repetitive and dull tasks so that you can better focus on more creative aspect of your time. As you all know, some time back, I purchased WPZon Builder and created a niche site Toshiba Tablet Reviews. Did I really need to have yet another plugin when WPZon builder was working fine?

How will Google +1 impact your blog?

Make your choice

Google, the Search Engine Giant, announced the release of its addition of a new feature, +1 Button feature on the search engine in March, 2011. According to Google, +1 is a public stamp of approval you can give a web page or a Blog.

Google +1 has been compared with Face book’s Like Button. Both have similar word of mouth recommendations and social proof. Both have essentially the same purpose of recommending and suggesting a webpage  or a blog. In similar fashion, it is also a way in which people can vote for a particular search result in Google which they have found informative or liked about.

Google +1 ButtonIf you click the +1 button next to the search result, you have automatically voted for the result and the search engine will remember that. When someone else makes the same search, the result would come attached with the +1 symbol, encouraging the person to click and read the site.

In this way, with a Google Profile, one can view the web pages of what their friends have +1′d on and also they can keep track of their own web pages they liked. Google +1 is not a social network but it is a voting mechanism helping Google to rank and rate the recommended results to position the Site or blog higher than other sites. As Google puts it “Sometimes it’s easier to find exactly what you’re looking for when someone you know already found it. Get recommendations for the things that interest you right when you want them in your search results”, Google will have a better idea of what people like and what they don’t like in order to list the page rankings.

This is an important step in your blog’s growth considering the Google’s growing love for social media. This will definitely be a powerful move for Bloggers and advertisers.

If Google+1 takes off on a positive note, it will have a huge impact on your blog in the long run.
